Soothe my Sunburn (Completed)

Yes, that's my leg. Yes, it hurts like hell. No, it's not photoshopped.

I was in the sun all day yesterday without sunscreen and now my legs / arms are really sore. I put some aloe gel on the burns, but that only seems to provide very temporary relief. Can anyone give me some good advice for dealing with a sunburn?

I would suggest that you soak whatever parts of you that are sunburned in a tub of cool/cold water. That quells the heat of the burn and works best soon after you discover you are burned.

Also, when you are applying the aloe (or whatever cream/salve), put it in the fridge first so it goes on nice and cold.

Stay away from anything hot. And by all means, no more sun!

Aside from all of the normal stuff, there are a couple of things i used that worked fairly well when i had a horrible sunburn. Maybe they might help you.
Go to the a drug store near you and look for the Bath Treatment boxes. They have special boxes for sunburn. Also, look for Solarcaine. Its made with aloe to cool your skin and temporarily relieve pain. Its amazing.
Good luck! i hope you feel better.

"Grate a potato and apply it to the burned area. The starch will cool and soothe the burn." I know that raw potatoe juice cures ulcers. So, I think this should help with the healing.

If this still does not work, look a the link below for more:

I hope you will find at least one thing that works for you.
Good lucks!

Mix 2 cups of apple cider vinegar with an equal amount of water, then sponge the liquid over the sunburned area. Be gentle! The treatment will ease the burning and help the skin to heal. (from Natures' Amazing cure-alls: Garlic, Vinegar & Honey)
