The Ron Paul video challenge (Expired)Submitted by

Do you believe in individual liberty? Do you think the government has no right spying on its people? That government shouldn't wage unprovoked wars against sovereign nations?
If so then you share the views of Presidential candidate Dr Ron Paul (http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ ), the champion of the Constitution among the Democratic and Republican candidates. He is one of the only members of Congress, in both the House and the Senate, who voted against the Iraq war from the start, and voted against the heinous Patriot Act. To support the Ron Paul campaign, Hope for America, I'm creating a prize to give to the producer of the most creative Ron Paul video. Here's an example of one such creative video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCzqA6YhuXg The video must be original and submitted by the creator or producer. If the video is really cool I might think about having it broadcast on tv, so please keep submissions to 30 seconds or less. Please use the "submit a solution" link to submit your videos, rather than posting them in the comments section. One last thing, the prize pool may well grow significantly by the submission deadline (August 1st), so get your entries in early! ![]() Add

I disagree with his healthcare system thoughts for sure... I think there should be very basic coverage for everyone. Generic drugs, routine treatments, etc. The cutting edge machines, new drugs, and new technologies should be available through the free market system (i.e. private enterprise, corporations), as he suggests, for a fee or through private insurance so that enough money is made to encourage continued research and development.
His stances on both the Afghanistan and the Iraq wars seem sound. His original votes and reasoning make sense and he's not having to backpedal now - which is refreshing.
What does everyone else think?
What would we do without the government?
ps Hopefully the prize pool will have grown a lot by August 1, so get your submissions in! :)
Also, I discovered some fabulous songs that were inspired by and written about Ron Paul by a talented songwriter that he is offering up for free use for projects like this.
I was totally dumbfounded by them and would love to see some video's with these songs playing in the background (wish I was a videographer!),. I have no association with the guy, just thouroughly impressed by his stuff.
There's 4 of them here on his MySpace player.
