Who are the target audiences of this site?Submitted by

People can get free answers at many discussion groups. I usually do not register on a site unless it is necessary for my work.
What are the attractives that will make me register besides "friends"? I don't think people wants to make money by offering a solution here. Or the idea owner wants to have a fund raising place? I would rather offer a free solution/advice on a dicussion group because I have gotten some free advices from there too. Is there a need to control duplicated ideas? It is fun when the database is still small, but it could become a dump site if it has no control. Should add tags/categories to ideas? Search an user name and it said 'not found'. Tags (add): Add

MobIncentive.com is much more than a Q&A site, though you certainly can use it to get questions answered. MobIncentive.com allows you to pool rewards to encourage action. A good example is http://www.mobincentive.com/Help_Mike_Stop_Smoking.aspx or http://www.mobincentive.com/Make_me_streak_the_UCLA_cafeteria_.aspx. If there’s something that you’re passionate about changing MobIncentive.com is a good place to find others willing to chip in to get it done.

MobIncentive.com isn’t trying to supplant pure fundraising or free Q&A. We’re really providing a new space for collaborative incentives. Even in Alpha we’ve had a successful idea that paid $55 http://www.mobincentive.com/browseUsers/earned_1.aspx.

Our search functionality should help control duplicate ideas. Try typing 'site' or 'target' into the 'Find a Mob' box at the top of the page and hitting 'Search'. You are presented with a list of similar ideas before being taken to the idea creation page. Of course this is no guarantee, but it’s a good step towards preventing duplicate ideas.
(1) the incentives of famepoints and small amount contribution make this like a game. So, it's fun. It differentiates itself from other free answers site.
(2) this site is also more than just "answers". It's more like a "tasks posting" . You have some tasks / ideas (big or small) that need to be done. But you cannot solve it by yourself. Through this web site, with a little bit help from your friends or strangers, it's very likely the task can be done easily with very low cost b/c other people of same interest will chip in too. Some people may have solutions at their fingertips. This can save you a lot of time doing researching. If the solution requires making a video or writing up 5 pages of instructions, a little bit of "incentives" definitely is more likely to make it happen. Again the famepoints, the $ (or $$$$$) and competition make the whole thing more fun.
(3) Sometimes it's pretty entertaining reading these tasks, comments and solutions posted here.
(4) this web site provides an open discussion for any of the topic (again...big or small) here via "Comments". In the meantime, it also provide private discussion (by sending message to another user).
I also think instead of getting money rewards, sometime the task poster can give non-monetary rewards e.g. if you need help to clean up your backyard or some other tasks. Instead of hiring strangers, you can invite your friends to help via this web site and rewarding them a party. If your friends like the idea, they may want to contribute a few bucks for beer or dessert. This way, a bad chore can turn into a lot of fun.
So, things will get done a lot easier, cheaper and with a lot of more fun...
