You must allow cookies; otherwise, it just doesn't let you login without telling you why.
Need an message to remind users that it does not work without accepting cookie.

How do you close an idea beside setup the expiration date?
Are the points refunded to the contributors if an idea is closed without a solution?

Yes, we have separate test and production environments. We're actually using subversion http://subversion.tigris.org/ for source control and Trac http://trac.edgewall.org/ for issue tracking. We did consider using an open source stack, but given our background and experience IIS / SQL made more sense for us. The site is backed up frequently and can be restored on a standby server if necessary.

any backup/restore plan?

Yes, we're using IIS and SQL server on Windows Server 2003. We are using a custom framework built on .NET in C# to generate the page content.

Javascript and CSS are mostly done using Visual Studio, as is most of the development.

1) if you allow people to edit comment, then the delete function can be provided too.
2) found that i have to accept cookies in order to login.
3) need an index page for users. currently only 3 pages of users and it is easy to find someone.

Right now we don't allow comment editing, but it's on the list.

Actually we just added comment editing.

The idea owner can "Edit" the idea after it was created.
How come the idea owner CANNOT change the offer?
